    DIY Advent Calendar

My old advent calendar finally fell apart.  I began searching for a new one at the end of the season last year but had no luck, so I decided to make one this year.  I didn’t want to focus on candy or getting small gifts of each day.  Instead, I wanted to focus on spending time with my daughter and creating memories.  So I created this DIY Advent Calendar with my Cricut Explore Air and Cricut Design Space. Make Superhero Gift Wrap with Your Cricut

This past Saturday, we were putting the final touches on our Father’s Day present.  We got Daddy a video game, but my daughter loves to make a gift too.  I remembered this cute idea from Pinterest. I liked the idea, but I wanted to tweak it a little. I bought the images from Etsy.  While we were assembling our superhero images, I got the idea to create custom gift wrap with Cricut drawing the images on the paper and my daughter coloring them. Laying out the Superhero Gift Wrap As I have mentioned before, when I am looking for images from the Internet to load into Design Space, I always…

Thoughtful Gifts for Teachers or Any Dog Lover

Gifts should be chosen or made with the recipient in mind. Personally, I would rather receive a small item the giver has put a lot of thought into over a more expensive one-size-fits-all generic gift.  I feel the same way about giving gifts. Teachers put a lot of thought into helping students grow and develop, so I like to put a lot of thought into a teacher gift.  I personally know quite a few teachers that are dog lovers as well, so this idea is perfect for them. I confess, I made these for my own dogs, but they would definitely make great gifts for a teacher or a friend…

Easy Easter Craft to Make with Kids

Easy Crafts using Cricut Design Space I always keep a generous supply of colored cardstock on hand for those boredom emergencies such as Spring Break.  My daughter actually got tired of endless hours of Spongebob and begged to make a craft.  Cricut Design Space to the rescue!  It’s easy to make simple cut files using just the shapes included with Design Space.  I’ll show you how I made a bunny using mostly circles and a couple of harts. I started by inserting four circles.  When the shape is selected (like the white oval in the picture) click on the lock symbol on the lower left corner.  This unlocks the shape…
